Diese Ausstellung wurde bereits 2005 im Rahmen der Fototriennale Backlight 2005 in Tampere / Finnland und 2006 in der Galeria Fondazione Studio Marangoni / Florenz / Italien gezeigt.
A taboo is a strong social prohibition or ban relating to any area of human activity or behaviour declared sacred or forbidden. Breaking a taboo is considered objectionable and abhorrent by society. Taboos may be restrictions on sexual activities and relationships, on bodily functions or on religious and other topics. Taboos prevent certain issues from open discussion - in a group, community or society. Tabooed topics get no place, in the public space. The curators M. Breindl and Eva Brunner-Szabo have selected works, which aroused their fascination, in which they could feel, that they have crossed a border - the taboo has been broken. All selected artists, work out the narrow margins between strong personal emotions and different kinds of cultural taboos. This selection shows the fine lines, which link these works.

The theme of the untouchable as a distant, unreachable, often rationally-filtered area of the mind is the core inspiration for the selection Alessandra Capodaqua did for this exhibition. |

Ausstellung Foto- und Medienkunst aus Indien: eine Entdeckungsreise 12.Mai 2007 - 3.Juni 2007 Eröffnung:12-Mai-07 18 Uhr 2120 Wolkersdorf Schlossplatz 2, Galerie 1.+2. Stock, Öffnungszeiten: SA, SO 14-18 Uhr
The Asian subcontinent is for us, despite its size and population density, largely an undiscovered country in artistic terms. Beyond the well known “Bollywood” film industry and a few sparse attempts to explore India’s artistic diversity, we know next to nothing about the photographic and media-orientated work of Indian artists.
The 10 selected artists thus provide a fascinating insight into highly varied aspects of life in their country as well as insight into the photography and media art of the subcontinent today. A new gender – self – consciousness, ironic statements, pictures of hope and criticism, visions of the future and fears all invite us on a thrilling journey of discovery.

Ausstellung Präsentation der MedienkunstpreisträgerInnen des Landes Niederösterreich 5.Juni 2007 - 5.Juni 2007 Eröffnung:05-Jun-07 19 Uhr 1070 Wien Museumsquartier, FREIRAUM
EIKON Fototalk:
Two of last year’s Cultural Awards of the Province of Lower Austria for Media Arts went to FLUSS-members; and awarded artists often have participated in FLUSS-activities – quite a reason for us to present their works in a video-screening event. |

Kuratorin: Dr. Marta Smolińska-Byczuk
All the chosen artists were born in former communist countries in the 1970ies. They represent a generation which remembers the communist era well, but also grew up between two different periods. They have observed and photographed the changes – the ones in the landscape as well as in the hearts and souls of the people.

Die Ausstellung "(Sklerotische) Nachbar[i]n " präsentiert zeitgenössische
The exhibition „Sclerotic neighbour“ presents contemporary Czech photography and videoart, working with a wider reference to human memory and the history of visual media. All presented authors are not working with direct visual evidence, but with a broader net of collective visual memory. |
